Discover the artistry of dance in a welcoming space that prioritizes encouragement over intimidation. This class is designed specifically for teens and adults—whether you are stepping onto the studio floor for the very first time or returning to the barre after a break. We offer a supportive, "come-as-you-are" atmosphere to explore or reconnect with the fundamentals of classical ballet.
We are honored to have this session led by Joan Halperin, a beloved fixture in our local dance community. Joan pairs professional mastery with a warm, inviting teaching style that makes complex movements accessible regardless of experience level. Under her guidance, you will get a full-body workout that builds lean muscle, core stability, and flexibility, while refocusing on the poise, alignment and strength.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring a water bottle, comfortable athletic wear, and a desire to learn.
Level One Ballet Class

Step into the magical world of dance! Our Level One Ballet class is a joyful, energetic introduction designed specifically for our youngest dancers. This class blends fundamental ballet vocabulary with creative movement games, storytelling, and engaging music to inspire a lifelong love for dance.
Through playful exercises, little dancers will explore how their bodies move while learning the basics of rhythm, balance, and spatial awareness. We use fun props like colorful scarves and magic wands to spark their imagination, helping them learn how to follow directions, take turns, and interact in a positive classroom environment.
Daytime Ballet Class-

Work with Michelle Holmes-Bello of USA Ballet to learn ballet technique. This multi-level ballet class is suitable for all levels. Dancers are schooled on the fundamentals with individual attention for each dancer and combinations are offered to perfectly suit their specific dance journey.

Our Pre-Professional Training Track provides an advanced pathway for Central Illinois dancers aiming for professional careers. By integrating high-tech virtual sessions with rigorous in-person training, we connect central Illinois talent directly with industry leaders in New York, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and the best in-person instruction.. This hybrid model brings elite national training and mentorship into our local community, offering an experience standard rarely accessible in the Peoria area.
To ensure rapid technical growth, the program limits enrollment to maintain small class sizes and highly individualized attention. Dancers receive intensive technical training, tailored one-on-one coaching, and practical instructor training to prepare them for both performance and teaching careers. Parallel to the student experience, we provide dedicated support to parents, advising on international competitions, auditions and placements for major intensives, scholarships and training programs.
Through this track, your dancer gains a direct link to the international dance community, all while remaining close to home. Let our network of mentors guide your student’s professional development and support their dream of a career in the dance world.

A character dance class teaches stylized versions of folk and national dances from various cultures, like Hungarian, Polish, and Spanish styles. This integral ballet training enhances expressiveness, musicality, and storytelling, offering a unique opportunity for cultural immersion, technical foundations, and rhythm and dynamics.
Level Two Ballet Class

Step up to the barre! This class is designed for students who want to learn classical ballet in a fun, focused, and supportive setting. Our curriculum emphasizes simple but highly effective exercises that build real strength, flexibility, and musicality. Students will learn foundational ballet terminology, basic body alignment, and introductory choreography. It’s an impactful, encouraging space where young dancers can grow their skills, gain confidence, and fall in love with dance.
